![]() ![]() I suspect I got used to the writing style and narrator during the second half of the book, so I could emerge myself in the story and ignore the irritations. The story was escapism through fantasy settings and magic powers. Nevada also had more grit than I gave her credit for during the first part of the book. ![]() As the book progressed, I liked it more and more. She did amazing sound effects and had different voices for different characters. Bùt, I got used to it and after a while it felt right. She sounded much older than I was used to. At first I struggled to get used to the narrator’s voice as well. ![]() I struggled to remain engaged as the information was too distracting. Even after the umpteenth time the character entered the story. It was lovey dovey family mumbo jumbo which bored and they kept calling every one “Name Surname, occupation”. The story had too many facts and technical detail. I found the first half of this book excruciatingly slow. Let me tell you about the negatives first. ![]()
